| | | | | | A.P. Moller – Maersk puts great emphasis on the employees' perceptions of the work environment. Therefore a yearly global online survey called Employee Engagement Survey is conducted throughout the entire group. In this survey engagement is defined as: -
A strong belief in and acceptance of the goals and values of A.P. Moller – Maersk -
Willingness to exert considerable efforts on behalf of A.P. Moller – Maersk -
A strong desire to maintain membership in A.P. Moller – Maersk
| The Employee Engagement Survey is conducted in 125 countries and in 2007 approximately 83% of the registered headcount participated in the survey. After completing the questionnaire all answers are generated into a unique report for each department head, thereby giving the manager an overview of the engagement amongst his/her employees. The manager then calls for a feed-back meeting, where he/she together with the employees discusses the results of the survey, and if necessary, make action plans with the intend to raise employee engagement.
The result of the survey is an important tool in developing an even better working environment, but also a step towards becoming an even stronger and truly value-driven organisation.
